Seminar Business and Biodiversity

  • Date: 20/11/2025
  • Time: 3 - 5 pm (CET)
  • Location: Naturalis, Leiden

On November 20th, with the support of PWC, VBDO presents its new Business and Biodiversity benchmark. The report analyses how companies are addressing biodiversity loss, based on the performance of 30 European listed companies. During the seminar, we will present the key findings of this innovative report and announce the winner of this first edition.

The benchmark maps how biodiversity is considered: from broad strategies and business models to the details of measurable objectives. The current scope encompasses companies from sectors with high impact and dependency, including Food & Beverage, Extractives, and Pharmaceuticals. In addition to analysing the 30 companies studied, the report also includes best practices and recommendations for various stakeholders to reverse biodiversity loss by 2030, in line with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
